| The first module built by the CJSS was a 16 ft switching layout that is still in use as of September 2006. From that module, the S-MOD system was developed through the creation of the S-MOD standards committee which included S Club representatives from all over the U.S. | |

| The 16 ft CJSS module owned by Mike
Ferraro was shown at several RailExpo shows at the Central Jersey
Railroad Terminal at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ. I
first met the club in 1985 at one of those shows... and that began my
module mania. |
