Introduction:
Those people who have claimed success in biology courses will often admit that they approached biology in a similar fashion as their foreign language courses.  In other words, to understand biology, you must be able to communicate with others whether it be via input or output mode.  Therefore, vocabulary prowess is essential. This homework project will help you to tackle this challenge.

Please note that this homework does NOT include all of the vocabulary you need.  It is a subset and provides you with the style of the challenge which you need to address in this course.


The Challenge:
This homework project is actually a study / quiz combination project.  Essentially I am providing you with 40 terms and you will be given a 20-minute quiz in which you are given ONE of the four columns of ten words.  I expect one or two sentences with a quick graphic showing what you are talking about.  Different columns will be given to students within each section.

Due dates and course value:

Check the Due Dates website for the day of your assessment and its value toward the final grade for trimester 1. There will be no retakes.  Your grade on this quiz is final.  Anyone who misses a quiz will be penalized 5% per day until you take the quiz.
