Draw Those Structures (DTS) #1
My Spinal Cord

sp cord
Trimester 1, 2009
Anatomy & Physiology II
with Dr. Don DeWitt
12th grade AMST     (v1) as of  8/ 30 / 09

Because you will not had a DTM in a while, the DTS Spinal Cord Drawing assignment will help you to focus on the anatomical side of this course.

This assignment is valued at 15% of your trimester 1 grade.

Check the Due Dates for the appropriate time to submit this assessment.

Here are the assignment expectations:

  1. You need to supply drawings of the Spinal Cord region of your body that show the region in at least two views.  You must include a cross-sectional as well as longitudinal view. You may include other drawings to show the location of the major structures more clearly.  For instance, it is difficult to show organs and structures that are behind each other and you may wish to show bony structures in a different image.
  2. The drawings MUST be in color.  (I am not going to read them if they are in one boring color.) Learn to use color to show relationships between structures as my notes and the textbooks do.  You may draw everything in one color and use hilighters or you may draw with colored fineline pens.
  3. Remember to make a photocopy for yourself for study purposes.
  4. You may use a drawing program if you prefer, but the work must be solely yours.
