The Camp family connects to the DeWitt family via my great grandmother, Sarah Ann Camp who married Jefferson Swanger. The middle names of my father and grandfather is Swanger. The purpose of this document is to trace back Sarah's family as far as is possible, because we share their genes as well as DeWitt genes.

My gg-grandmother was Frances Camp of Milroy, Pa. She was born in 1828. I don't know her place of birth.
Her parents were called "Camp," but their real name was "deKemp" Sara Rosanna and husband Jean deKemp
were born in France. (Once here, he used the name, "John Camp.") He was born in 1801; she in 1802. They
married in France in 1825. My ggg-gm, Frances, died in Milroy in 1880. Many of John and Rosanna's descendants
still live there.
