Notes:

from the Milan Republican 14 Nov 1901  (infant child of Mark Pinkney DeWitt and Bertha Agnes Swanger)

Another Sister Bereaved
Again the editor is called upon to mourn with a sister. the infant  child of Mr. and Mrs. M.P. DeWitt, born Nov 7, 1901, died Monday evening, Nov  11, 1901.  Sorrow makes us all akin, but the troubles of a sister become as  personal bereavements.

A tender bud sprang into existence in the family of M. P. DeWitt one week  ago today, a surce of mutual happiness to the fond parents, but it was not in  the purpose of Providence that it should ever be a full-blown flower....

Transcription thanks to Cheryl Gallagher who travelled to Milan MO and copied obituaries from the Milan library.
